Howdy! My name is Aaron. I'm a student of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University near the beautiful city of Seattle. I am currently not raw, but am looking to go that way way once I'm done spring cleaning my body with the wonderful master cleanse. Some of my passions include playing my celtic harp, walking around in the garden, hiking, making herbal medicines, cooking, and earth spiritualities.

I look forward to meeting ya'll and learning about this most interesting and certainly yummy looking lifestyle.

I truly believe in order to help my patients I have to help myself first, and I have been called to this way of eating for a while now. I believe it holds the answer for my chronic health condition of psoriasis.

Hi Aaron!

Welcome to the board.

That's really neat that you are studying naturopathy. It is something I have seriously considered for myself. I was suprised when someone who was vegan told me they were the only vegan and there was maybe only one other vegetarians in their naturopathic college. Are there any raw fooders in your program?

I have heard of people healing psoriasis through raw foods. I have also heard mindfulness meditation working wonders! There was a study that Jon Kabat-Zinn details in his book "Full Catastrophe Living" where they used two test groups, one receiving light treatment and one receiving light treatment and meditating every day. The group that was meditating had their skin clear up way more quickly than the other group.

I totally support you in your studies of Naturopathy and using your diet to cure your psoriasis. As a "recovering" former pharmacist, I truly believe in healty thoughts and food as opposed to pills (emphasis on the THOUGHTS).
