Hi,

I'm Ruth, 27.. swf..

I've been a vegetarian for 12 years.. But I know that raw is best.

I've recently been joined by my parents.. I am going shopping with them this weekend to help start them on their way..

but I'm very new.. I'm book smart about it.. but not as much experience smart..

I'd appreciate any suggestions that you might have..

They work normal jobs.. so i'd like help on good things for them to bring for lunch and snacks.. Keep in mind they are not vegetarians.. so, I'm sure the change is going to be more difficult than it was for me..

Good luck with starting out on raw. Going vegetarian even for most of the time is a huge change and step in the right direction for your parents! Great for you to have the support!

Hi Ruth,

I think that is so cool that your parents are on board with you! You all should make a great team. I would love to have that kind of support close-by. My husband is encouraging me to be raw but he isn't too interested. Hopefully, when he see the results that I achieve (weight loss and health benefits) he'll come around. For right now, my two kids are my buddies in this exciting adventure for me. Since I'm pretty new, too, I can't offer a lot of advice but I can offer encouragement and know that we're all here to learn together and support each other! God Bless
