Smile New to Raw foods

Hi, I am new to raw foods and am amazed at the energy and refreshing new foods that I am experiencing.

My wife and I have been raw for going on now 3 weeks and don't get the cravings like we used to with the great American diet. We love it and emptied our pantry of all the boxed and canned conventional food.

She asked me the other day if I would like to go get a steak and potato for lunch and I told her no since I don't have a need for the food any more. I want nothing other than raw foods and I feel better now.

I had been talking to a friend about this raw diet and had got interested in it and what it was all about and then I had gone to the doctor about a spot on my back. The doctor had called me one day about the results of a biopsy and said that it was melanoma and she was sending me to a surgeon. The spot seems to be shrinking and getting better.

I told my wife I was calling our friend that I had been talking to and get more info on this raw food lifestyle, it is not a diet but as lifestyle. He gave me a video on how our cattle and chickens were being treated and how they were fed the ground up portions of diseased animals along with steroids and hormones and it made me totally sick and told my wife that we were going on this raw and living lifestyle on eating and I eat less and having more energy along with feeling fuller for a longer period of time.

Hey welcome to the boards too! Good to see people getting interested, you've surely come to the right place. Cravings went away quickly for me too, I admit going to resturants with friends is a tease but a great feeling afterwards for not giving in.
