New and excited

Hi my name is Janie. I feel morally obligated to give up meat and want to eat only raw fruits and vegetables as my main stay. I do belive in the benefits of Acaii and want to continue drinking smoothies and don't really know if it is fresh or frozen or what. Does anyone know about the smoothies? I feel I need to do a body cleanse to remove all the toxins and am considering the Lemonade Diet as the venue to do that. I want to use a new product I found at GNC that has additional vitamins added like Acaii, Goji and others. It is a premix call Simply Slender has anyone tried it?

hello!

If it's pre-packaged and the label doesn't read "raw" it's not a raw product and probably contains chemicals your body really doesn't need. As for the lemonaide diet, or master cleanser, I do that 3-4 times a year for about 5-7 days just to clear out any 'jumk in my trunk".... LOL! Nice to see you here and keep askin' any questions you may have! Best of luck to you too!!

Thank you for your input. I commute every week and it would be so much easier to use the premix. I am going to start the diet tomorrow since I will be home so that means I will be on the 3rd day when I take off again. I hope my energy level will be good enough to work while I am cleansing. Just a little nervous.

Hi it's Janie again. I made it through the week end on my first cleanse so today is my 3rd day. I am traveling this week and will be working lots of hours. I do not have any business dinners planned and am going to avoid putting myself in that situation at this point. I think if I made it through a week end to start the cleanse the rest of the week will be cake. I have not decided if I will go longer than 4 days. I am feeling good. I don't feel bloated, my energy level is good. I am not sure if I should have gone completely raw before going on the master cleanse as has been suggested in some posts. At this point I am feeling this will jump start me and and put a little discipline back in my life while I am on my way to a better way of living. I am still excited and appreciate the support on my journey.

good job so far!!

It's not a bad idea to avoid certain situations when you're adjusting to a new way of eating. Cravings can be killer when you get them. You're doing great so far, tho. Keep it up and POST POST POST when you feel like slipping or stressed. just venting here will help.

Thank you for the support. I decided to make my first cleanse 4 days so I was successful. I think just eating fruits and vegetables will be fairly easy for me. I love them. My dad used to have a vegetable garden (and fruit trees) while I was growing up so that part should be fairly easy. While I watched him garden and baby his fruit trees we would just pick and eat. He was an organic hobby farmer way before it became in vogue. He grew up on a farm and knew the nutritional value. Does anyone know how long it should be before I try another cleanse.? I would like to try longer than 4 days next time.

listen intently

if you listen to your own inner self, your body will tell you when to do another cleanse.you'll start to feel sluggish and 'run down' more so than usual. that's my clues that it's time. I tend to do them once every 2-3 months just for a few days at a time. It keeps me from getting sick and feeling really 'not so healthy'... ya' know? Especially in flu season.

It's easy enough to do your own Lemonaide Diet / Master Cleanse and it'll be all raw.

You can also find raw vegan smoothie mixes, and it's certainly easy enough to make your own, even bring them in a thermos for the day.

I'd recommend making your own whenever you can - besides knowing it's raw and what's in it, you can have the power to mix up what you're eating so you make sure you get a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens.
