Hello!

I am new to raw food and saw this forum recommended on Shazzie's website so I hope I can make some raw friends here.

My real name is Lindsay, I am 29, live in Manchester, UK, am married with a 15 year old stepson, work full time in HR and go to college part time so I am a busy lady! My hobbies include shopping, going to the gym, running and yoga.

I lost 3 stone last year through Weight Watchers and have acquired a bingeing habit and am terrified of putting weight on - I still have one more stone to lose. I read one of Jason Vale's books a couple of weeks ago and loved the idea behind juicing, then my friend Summer started documenting her raw food diaries on LJ and it was like a light bulb went on in my head!

I am currently on my 7th day of eating 100% raw with only one "blip" (carrot cake and haloumi!) and I am feeling more energised, my allergies are subsiding and I have lost 4lb. I am really into it and boring my husband and friends because it's all I seem to talk about!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

So what's your plans for this summer? You can't stay a busy lady forever that just can't be good for ya. What's it like over there in Manchester? Does it rain a lot there too? Real crappy weather here today in Michigan. It just makes running more fun though.

Ohh I am a big wimp and don't like running in the rain!! But yes it does rain a lot here - the weather is pants at the moment.

Summer will probably pass by too fast as it usually does. We are in the middle of buying a flat and are totally skint - no holidays for us

What are your plans for the summer?

Well I just found out that I'm taking classes this summer because I'm just that smart lol. Your different expressions totally crack me up and confuse me lol. Pants, and what is a flat and a skint? I am making it my plan to meet 00rawr00 this summer and have an awesome time with my friends. Which one's hugs and which is kisses? xoxoxo. Do you have a funny accent too? Well I probably have a funny accent to you too though. I hope you keep your pants and I hope your skint is really flat. lol talk to you later.

You will think I have a funny accent - think her Majesty the Queen but with lots of swear words!!

LOL I will do the transatlantic translation for you:

Flat = Apartment
Pants = crap, rubbish, not good
Skint = having no money

Shame about the classes but fab that you are having a raw meet-up! I would probably have to travel a long way for that.

I think I will be busy all summer, I have a 7000 word management project to do which I haven't even started and can't be arsed with.

Yeah I'm in a rock band. We actually have a show this Friday. Our lead singer isn't going to make it though so were going to have to wing it. I use many different scales and try to incorporate many different solo patterns like Joe Satriani. Too bad I don't have any leather pants and I don't really fit the rock star attitude but I have a lot of fun. And the myth is not true, I do not get any more chicks by being in a rock band. I think my diet cancels out the wanna be rock star status. I at least want to get some white pants (don’t have to be leather) but how do you keep them clean? Does anybody have some white pants? HOW DO YOU DO IT? I have a tough time keeping my white shirts clean. Well I got to go running now. Oh and I probably have a funny accent to you because supposedly Michigan is the only state that say’s pop instead of soda. There’s probably others but I can’t think of any right now. I’ll talk to you later.

Well white pants better not be like white shirts. I don't want to attract a sizeable crowd if I get in a water fight. Anyway what do the people over there think about the U.S being in Iraq? I think we jumped in a little puddle and it was a lot deeper than we thought lol. Supposedly we're not too popular with the rest of the world.
