Thumbs up Introduction and a question.

Hey all.

Thought I d go with the routine and introduce myself. I m from Iceland but currently living in Mexico. A seriously dedicated taco eater and meat lover until now. I guess like thousands of other people that read Food Revolution by John Robbins, affected by the truth about livestock.

I m 7 days into my vegan lifestyle and I have to say that I feel very different. These days have been challenging, not so much when it comes to not eating meat (since the sponsored though about meat and dairy has changed) but what to eat and when. I train Taekwondo twice a day and am worried about my protein and carb consumtion. What to eat before and after training.
Answer:

Gas release has been through the roof for the last 3 days, I hope that s normal.
Answer:

One interesting thing that has happened.

My problem 7 days ago.
I have a small fungus/psoriasis (doctors don t seem to know which it is) problem on a part of my sculp. It runs in the family and doctors give us special shampoos for treating it. It never goes away but if we don t use it every other day the spot will itch and on bad days the dryness can go down to the eyebrows and on the skin below the eyes (beside the nose).

My problem now

My head doesn t itch, it seems that the spot is disappearing after I stopped eating meat and dairy.

Hope to hear a response from anyone regarding my questions.

Thanks.

Hi Levy,

That's great that you are eating healthier. Are you incorporating lots of fresh uncooked fruits and vegetables?

This site is for raw foodists - people that are interesting in eating more and more uncooked food in their diet. The first step in that process for many is just cleaning up their cooked diet first like you are doing. Are you interested in eating raw foods or in learning more about them? If so this is the place.

Hey Greenbunny.

Yes, the plan is to eventually go all raw. It will be a gradual transition though since I was eating alot of garbage for a long time. Like I mentioned before, my concern are meal plans that will suit me as I train alot.

Check out Dr. Douglas Graham's site...he's worked with many athletes and can guide you (either reading his books or getting a consult with him). His website is www.foodnsport.com

Hope this helps!
