Introduction

Hello everyone...im a native angelena. I am on my 5th day of raw foods. I have given myself a 30 day goal with the intention of making it a lifestyle...i am 30 and work extremely long hours therefore do not have much time to "cook" so i usually prepare some type of salad at the office not always the most delicious dishes...

i am having a hard time figuring what foods will keep me fuller longer. I tried making a wildrice medley by soaking the wild rice for 3 days but the water got bubbly and it smelled bad...any ideas of great raw foods for protein...

thank you
peace and blessings

When soaking seeds (nuts, beans, grains, legues anything that will grow into a plant) the longest you soak the seed is overnight and then you have to rinse the seeds at least twice a day if not in the refrigerator and once a day if they are in the refrigerator. Seeds left in water usually die and start to decompose. You were trying to sprout the seed. Grains are hard to start with and don't have as much protein as the nut seeds like peanuts, sunflowers, pumpkin seeds etc. Try those first. If you have a dehydrator you can put the soaked seeds in the dehydrator and remove the water so that the seeds can be made into nut and seed butters or used as trail mix or just kept for a long time in the fridge.

Btw, make sure you throw out that bacteria soup you made. ;-)

About staying full. The number one trick to doing that is to change your diet more gradually as the body has to adapt to a lighter diet. The second way is to eat more soaked nuts and seeds and dark greens and other raw proteins if you are into it like sushi and raw eggs and raw cheeses. Only eat raw animal products if you have a very strong immune system though.
