Sad I'm Soo Confused

Hello Everyone,

My name is Tammy, I'm 49yrs old and have been fighting a very rare uterine cancer since 2005. I've had chemo, 38 sessions of radiation last fall and now am on radiation again for 28 sessions. I've had 3 surgeries since 05 with my last surgery being Aug 16, 07 removing 2 large tumors in my pelvic area. I'm not looking for pity I just need to talk, to put things down on "paper" and maybe some feedback would be nice. I see a therapist who has lived her whole life in a holistic manner. Eating raw veggies and seeing holistic healers instead of regular docs. She is the one who has opened my eyes to a whole new world of letting the body heal itself by detoxification, raw foods diet, positive imagry and how everything in nature has a balance.

My Onocologist and Radiologist docs. say that the radiation will help control a localized reocurrance but studies show that rads (radiation) and chemo have no effect on ULMS (Uterine Leiomyosarcoma). The chemo and rads have done alot of lasting damage to my body, from nerve damage to my teeth and hands to a horrible open wound on my abdomen from my last surgery due the radiated tissue not being able to heal properly. So I am also having to have wound treatment 3x's a week which will take approx. 1 yr to heal.

I am confused because I want soooo badly to live a long life. They say I maybe have 2 years left as past studies have shown. But I am not a statistic or a number. I am me, a Texan living in Indiana with a strong will and a love for life, animals and the outdoors. I am not ready to be put down by this cancer ever. I will die a natural old age death if it is the last thing I do!!!!! My therapist pulls me toward a totally natural healing method, which with this cancer, my inner voice says, local treatment should be used and go totally with raw foods, detox, exercise, positive thoughts and educate myself by reading and with rads. I will not do chemo again, which is a systemic (all through my body) treatment. My onc. says we had sucess last year with the rads cuz the tumor on the outside of my abdominal wall never returned and was not considered a reocurrance.

I just wish I was strong enough to know what to do. I feel pulled both ways. I feel like the perfect method for me right now is to stay on track. Have radiation in the localized area and also totally turn my life around with my health being my number one priority. To learn from people who live the life of green, raw foods and exercise. This has to be my decision, I know that. The radiation causes me alot of pain and burning in the lower abdominal area, but it is working and if I can balance the two lifestyles, which will be very hard, maybe, just maybe I will acheive something many before me have not. I just want to make a difference for others after me. There has to be a reason some of us are asked by the Lord to carry these loads.

Thank you for reading about me. Be happy and healthy and eat your veggies!!!

Best Regards,

Tammy

Hi Tammy,

I agree with you - there is a lot of confusion out there! Since I cannot tell you which is the best route to take, I'll give you some insight as to what I would do healthwise if I was in your situation:

* First, I would be praying for guidance in the direction to take for a long healthy life.

* I would go 100% raw vegan immediately. No animal products, except honey for me. Cooked food produces an acidic environment in the body which is a breeding ground for toxins.

* I would seriously reduce my fat intake. Toxins do thrive in fat cells, and if the fat is good or bad, too much is not good in the body - I'd keep my intake at or under 10% calorically.

* I would seriously reduce my protein intake. Many studies have shown that cancer is reduced when protein in take is lowered. See the book, The China Study

* I would avoid cooked grains and other acid and mucus producing foods

* I would get a juicer and juice greens and fruits. Personally I'm not concerned about fruit sugar through juiced or whole fruits. I believe cancer doesn't like processed/refined sugar.

* I would work-out at least 30 minutes a day to help my blood move through my body and heart quickly

* I would do a number of cleanses and fasts to help flush out any toxic residue from the chemo and other medical therapies that may have damaged me:

1) Colon cleanse - possibly hydrocolon therapy
2) Liver and gallbladder cleanse
3) Kidney and bladder cleanse

- These cleanses can be found through Dr. Richard Schulze. He used to offer an "incurables" program but I'm not sure if that is still available. He's been in many lawsuits for offering alternative healing. http://www.herbdoc.com/home_1024x768.asp

* I would go on a 92 day juice feast. Info:

- http://www.nutrientdensenutrition.com/

* I would also go on a supervised water fast:

- http://www.foodnsport.com/joomla/ (see FoodnSport events menu, and fasting in Costa Rica)

* I would avoid watching the news or political debates

* I would get the book Crazy Sexy Cancer tips:

* Some other materials/sites/books to check out:

- Ruth Heidrich - http://www.ruthheidrich.com/

If I think of anything else, I'll add it here.

Hi Tammy. I am too new at this to reply with an educated solution. But I will pray for you. I do believe that the body is incredible and it is designed to cure itself. I believe that if I were in your situation I would probably follow Double Helix' advice and pray a lot as well. Think positive thoughts, give your body permission to heal itself. Its a real scarey thing to be faced with and it's hard to know what to do. But you sound like you are strong enough to beat this--I believe that is half the battle! You can do it! Lots of love!

Your body is ultimately a product of your thoughts and Spirit. If you decide that you ARE well that is what you become.

Gerson therapy has been very successful. They use lots and lots of juice to give the body the nutrtion to heal itself.

There has been success with raw goat yogurt and flax seed oil. Search those things for a link someone here gave to a doctor in Europe who has had tremendous success healing incurable cancers.

Also, search the word "cancer" on this site. People here have given other folks some great resources in the past.

I know someone who healed his wife of an incurable brain tumor. He sent me the protocol he used for her and links for more information approaches for tackling cancer. I will send you a message. If you give me your email address I will foward our correspondence.

There have been many, many people that have not only lived through worse diagnoses than you have! You can do it!!!

There are also people that have cured cancer by laughing. Getting funny movies and laughing so much that their immune systems got so strong they could fight off the cancer.

The immune system does respond to emotion and visualization. One thing I would do is go to the library and get videos on how the immune system works so that you can have real good/clear visualizations of your immune system winning! The children's cartoon videos are often the best.

This might sound strange, but every person that I have known with cancer has felt trapped in some way.... like there was something that they wanted different in their life but didn't feel like they could have, achieve, leave behind or change. Some people have chosen to die rather than say, leave a spouse, release the grief of not having children, leave their jobs, say no, move to the place they always wanted to live etc. If there is something in your life that you don't want - bag it! If there is something you really want - find a way to get it!!!! I don't know if this is true for you too, but if it is, now is the time to step up and choose life.

Double Helix gives you lots of different great things to try - just don't do them all at once! All those cleanses are intense. The number one thing is to eat raw food - as much as you can without feeling too much worse - and drinking lots and lots of juices and smoothies and water. Exercise gently with that wound that you have. Can you go for walks? Can you move well?

Do you have family living with you? Who is there for you? Will they make you juices and smoothies?

I got a Breville Juicer that I like a lot because it is so easy and fast to use and is easy to clean. I think that's real important when you are tired from your illness and treatments. There might be other juicers that keep the juice longer, but aren't quite as easy. Just drink the juice right away.

Juice, juice, juice. Smoothie, smoothie, smoothie!

You are right, many people have not made it before with your diagnosis, but they also haven't made it here to us!!!!!

We will support you through every step. You have support here. Tells us everything and anything you wish. Use us as your resource. I for one believe that you can lick this thing. I KNOW that many others have that decided to fight and try things out of the normal medical bags. How much of that medical bag you decide to use is completely up to you and your guidance through prayer and intelligent thought.... and what you do outside of that bag at the same time might make all the difference.

The number one thing on your side is belief and will. If you decide to live, if you believe you will, if you reach out to find people and ways to help you and if you use your intuition I do not doubt for a moment that you will be successful at gaining perfect health.

There is a movie called The Secret. It has in it old ideas that have been around forever but it is put together well. You might find it interesting and inspiring. In that movie there is a woman who cures her own cancer with her intention to do so.

There are many books out there can give you courage. In your condition it might be hard to read, but I have found that listening to books is often relaxing. Like Double Helix said, you can't afford negativity. Television and news can be replaced by Inspirational stories. I'm great at searching the library system and if you tell me what your library is I might be able to find you some things at your local library. Most libraries actually use a larger area system where things can be delivered to your local branch. I'd be glad to help you with this.

If you belong to a church or temple or spiritual group, any kind, you might want to ask the head person to request that all the people in the organization to have a group prayer and visualization for you Ask specifically for a visualization of you as well. If you are too shy to do this, you might want to ask one other person to ask the head person. Group thought can have tremendous power. I'm glad you found us here for that reason too.

Sending you my healing thoughts,
Greenbunny

I hope everything works out for you. You will be in my thoughts! If you are seriously into this, why not start a blog to keep track of your progress and allow others to see what you are doing? That would be pretty awesome!

I wish all the best for you!
