Hello =) - Raw Food Chat

I'm a little shy, but still wanted to stop by and say hello

My name is Mandie and I live in The Netherlands. I've been vegetarian for about 9 years. I've always loved animals ever since I was very small. When my father asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, I would say 'I want to be a vegetarian', ....but I meant to say veterinarian.

What convinced me to go vegetarian (In less than 1 minute) was learning and researching the truth about what happened to animals all over the world in all sorts of industries. Animals that I love.

Anway, the veterinarian deal didn't work out because I couldn't bring myself to put animals down, even the ones that suffered.

Moving on, lol....I have been vegan for about a year now, and raw vegan for a couple of months. The transistion wasn't THAT difficult, but it wasn't that easy either. I had to learn how to mix foods properly.

Now, I will never turn back. I am 100% raw and loving it!

Though my boyfriend is also a vegan, I think I am the only raw vegan in the whole part of the country in which we live in. It does get a little lonely

....and that is why I am here

Welcome Nibbit! Sounds like you are doing great. There are probably more of you out there, you just have to find them. Usually you can find them through meetup.com or health food stores. I didn't know this but I had a long time raw fooder living about 1/2 an hour from me, his whole family has been raw. So we are out there, you just have to find us.
