i'm new to raw

hi everyone,
i've decided i want to go raw and i'm slowly learning more and more about this way of life. I have made a slow, but short, transition to eating mostly raw throughout the day. I'd say I pretty much eat raw until dinner, then I make the choice whether I'll have one cooked meal, or keep it raw all day. I'm trying my best to eat atleast 80% raw until I am ready for 100%. I am really excited about this, but I wish I had a friend who was doing it to.
I want to be as healthy as I can, trim my body of excess weight that I have been struggling for the past few years to lose, and to be in touch with the way of eating that we were meant for. I hope I can do it, any tips or suggestions would be so great.

You sound like you're off to a great start. What equipment do you have? What books have you read? Are you growing your own sprouts yet?

One of the best things to do is stay tuned to Raw forums on the Internet if you don't know others who are Raw with you. You can also go to www.meetup.com and look for raw or health type groups in your area. That's a great place to meet people.

HI!danajade,
there are about amillion ways to go about a raw lifestyle. The best thing to start out with is green drinks and smoothies. I highly recommend "Green for Life" by Victoria Boutenko www.rawfamily.com. Try to increase your ability to drink greens. This one thing I consider most important.
