It's really easy don,
First week to a month add a big salad as a meal to your diet of things that are not cooked even if you add on some cooked food to it at first. At the same time get rid of any real garbage that you eat/drink like sodas, coffee, icecream, sugary things like cake etc. If you eat like an average American this will be a big change getting rid of the junk and adding a salad. Even if you don't eat junk, just add one big salad meal a day and see how it affects you. It's better to change one thing at a time so you can evaluate the results and so we can help you. If you eat a lot of junk food, then you should take more months at this first stage perhaps three of four getting rid of one nasy thing at a time. Some people need to take a year or two just getting off the sugar, caffeine, sodas and fried foods and that's ok.
Then the next month add a smoothie. Take a banana, strawberries, blueberries and maybe some mango, papaya or pineapple and blend it up with water in a blender and drink that some time during the day or have a big helping of fruit or fruit salad during the day. Later on you can start to experiment with your mix of fruit as you like, but this mix most people like so that's why I suggest it.
Just do that and you are half way there!
During those two months hang out here with us reading, asking questions and maybe picking a book or two that some of the folks talk about here if you like.
If you go slower like this then you will avoid most nasty detox symptoms and make this lifestyle a habit. You will also be able to determine what foods your body likes and which one's it doesn't by changing one food at a time. It is a gentle and very easy way to make the transition that you can do immediately.
