greetings! - Raw Food Chat

Hello everyone! I have been visiting and lurking for quite some time, just reading the posts and meaning to join, but haven't until now. I went raw in February of this year. I became a vegetarian at the end of December 2005. I've struggled with my weight all my life and have seen amazing weight loss and overall health results after going raw. I look forward to shedding the rest of my false body and becoming more healthy, spiritual, conscientious and at peace. I sometimes feel so alone because I am the only person in my family to adopt this lifestyle, and most of my friends are dedicated omnivores, including my boyfriend! I would like them all to be raw, especially my boyfriend, but to no avail they still eat meat and cooked food. My boyfriend has increased his intake of raw foods and he does try some things I make. I just wish I had more raw fooders to talk to and share my journey with so I don't feel so alone, and also to get my questions answered and hopefully answer some of your questions as well. I must say, I love the site, there's lots of great information here and I love taking it all in.

That's how I feel about the extra weight I am carrying around. Wow, you have almost been raw for a year. That's great. I would love to hear more about the positive changes you have experienced since becomming raw.

I understand how you might feel alone. This is definately the place for you! I have only just recently joined and only recently became raw but I have learned so much from the kind people here. Everyone seems so honest and genuine with their comments and experiences. Welcome!
