It depends on how far you live from the market, of course, the fresher you buy the better.
Buy one bunch or one bag of everything you might like in a salad. Buy sprouted tortillas to put the leftoever salad in a tortilla for your lunch. Buy some avocados, tahini, almond butter, or some other raw spread to put on the tortilla.. I can't live without raw olives, so I would buy those. Buy a lot of bananas. If you don't eat them all up in time, freeze them for ice creams or smoothies. Buy apples and lemons. Get some greens and make smoothies for breakfast using 60% fruit, 40% greens and 2 cups of pure water in the Vitamix. Drink a quart for breakfast and you'll really go! Make sure you use different greens, spinach, kales, parsley, arugula, etc. 1 lemon juiced will cut out a "too green" taste. Melons keep well in the frig and really do for a light sweet snack. Zucchini spaghetti is fun and easy to make with a Spirooli. I like Bragg's vinagrette dressing to take with me on the road and eat at home when I don't make my own dressing. To make raw recipes, you usually need a lot of almonds, sunflowers, flax seed and other raw pantry items such as apple cider vinegar, nama shoyu, olive oil, dates, etc. It's good to go for the recipes when you feel like you're missing out on something you love or if you have to prepare for others and you want to impress. If you want to keep it simple, green smoothie in am, fruit throughout the heat of the day, salad in a lettuce leaf or raw tortilla for lunch and salad for dinner.
Other fun things are: sun teas, goji berries, Incan berries, learning about edible weeds, and creating your own concoctions!
