Question Transitioning and I am so tired!

Hi I am slowly transitioning into a living food diet for about 15 days I've been eating roughly 60% raw foods and about 80% organic this is a drastic change from my extremely unhealthy and disgusting diet before.
I have been so tired lately! I don't know if its because of the change in my diet because even before eating this way I was still sleeping at least 10 hours a night and was sleepy all day long, it has seemed to have gotten a little worse since the change in my diet, the first 3-4 days of eating this way I felt amazing, but now all I want to do is sleep!
How do I get my energy back?
Has this happened to you?
Is this just part of the detox period?
Any tips of any kind?
Thanks a million!!!!!!
Yeay raw food!!

Tiredness could certainly be a sign of detox. It has not happened to me personally. Your body is releasing poisons that fill your blood stream and have to be eliminated. But, if this drags on, you might want to see a health care person you can trust.

Try breathing exercises. Sit comfortably, but with good posture, and breathe all your air out by pushing with your diaphragm and abdomen. When you most of the air out, relax and let your lungs draw the air back in. Do this 10 times while also calming your mind.

Make sure you are exercising or doing yoga daily. Excercise will decrease tiredness in the long run.

Also, make sure you aren't depriving yourself in order to stay raw. It's easy to skip a meal or two because you don't really have something raw you want to eat, or because you're trying to wait off a poorly combined previous cooked meal. If you aren't adverse to fruits or fruit/veg juices, you could try increasing those. Juice is a good way to get lots of nutrients and calories without filling up. Green smoothies are great for the long term (good fiber, less of a sugar spike).

Hope you are feeling better, soon.

Your body is in healing mode and it needs extra rest and sleep to do its job. Make sure you get lots of sleep, and to refuel & recharge, eat fruit, nature's natural carbs.

Just editing this to say - even though you already get 10 hours of sleep, that doesn't mean it's enough. Your body may need 12 hours of sleep plus naps if that's what it is going to take to heal whatever is going on inside. Sleep should not be taken for granted, it's super-important for detox, rebuilding muscle, etc. This won't go on forever, maybe a few days to a week or so and your energy should return to you.

HapiLee, it is difficult to say what is going on with the little information we have.

Detox can be the problem.

It is also possible to overdo on fats, especially in the beginning when you are trying to get heavier foods to replace the previous heavy cooked stuff and junk. As for me, I get overly tired after too much fats, I have to keep it to 10-15 %, otherwise I will feel extremely reluctant to exercise the next day, and it will be heavy going. If I keep my fat intake low enough, then there is no problem with exercise at all.

Another thing which can be important is the calcium/phosphorus ratio. Excess phosphorus tends to make you more alert and active, while excess calcium (remember what counts is the ratio, not the absolute amount) tends to make you more relaxed and sleepy.

Calcium is provided by green leafy greens, and unhulled sesame seeds, phosporus residue is provided by nuts and seeds and avo's especially, and if you do a lot of sprouting, by sprouted grains and legumes.

Have a look at your diet....
