Tight muscles

Hi,

I ran my first marathon about a year ago and liked it a lot. I decided to train for a full marathon this year and at that time I was on a SAD diet. The healthy version of the diet (no junk food, lots of fruits) but still a lot of dairy products, cereals and bread.

Unfortunately, I have hamstrings so tight it caused me an ITBS (problem with the knee) that forced me to stop running. It's been a couple of months and no amelioration whatsoever.

That and the fact that I always feel tired and always catch a flu when someone in my entourage gets one, made me decide to try the raw food diet.

So far I'm feeling great, and I don't want to go back to cooked food. However, I've been raw since January 3rd of this year (so today would be my 37th day or so) and my hamstrings muscles fells even tighter these days.

I know it's probably from detox but I just want to be reassured I guess. I heard a lot of people who say that they start to feel way better after only 30 days. I just wondered if a lot of people have seen tremendous results much later than 30 days after the beginning of a raw food diet because so far my energy is great but I don't feel a tremendous change yet.

Thanks a lot

I run high altitude extreme ultras (50-100 miles/day)
My knees left me unable to do a few miles or even a staircase in comfort. Many therapies helped for days or so, partially.
Apitherapy got me back into the ultras in months. Sounds extreme, but it worked for me. I am 55.

My first thought was have you tried yoga? Also be reassured that it does take time, to quicken the cleanse you may want to try a tinture of dandalion root and a tea of nettles. I am an herbalist and have help lots of people through liver cleansing. Dandelion is a super herb and is high in iron and potasium. good luck, Kymberly
