Weird Phew...maybe this time??

Heya guys!

Well...there has been a ton of drama in my world with work and coworkers and boys and blah blah blah...

I let my emotional self just say "screw it" and ate however I wanted...

That was quite the mistake. I know how much better I FEEL when I am eating well...but I miss CAKE and PIE and PASTA!! and CHEESE!!!

I got a newer book by Natalia Rose that actually has a 21 day program.... I am just back to basic raw eating right now and will follow her 21 day program after I have time to shop for it (Thursday)

I am the kinda person that responds well to rules and limits when it comes to food and such....

After years of eating disorders and self hate ... I eat the best with a total plan.... so this should be easier for me... I am very excited about it....

Any new suggestions or tips from anyone??

I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Good for you!

I would just say make sure you have a lot of raw food around to eat, don't let yourself get hungry. Especially the first 3 days to week when your more likely to slip-up.

I just want to say that many of the experts I've heard from, and most of the people I know who maintain a raw lifestyle, have made a transition to raw, they didn't just decide to go 100% raw one day.

I know going 100% one day works for some people, but it doesn't work for a lot of people. It sure didn't work for me!

But gradually increasing raw, gradually finding great recipes, gradually understanding how much better my body feels eating a salad, eating that vegi pizza and feeling how my body didn't respond well to it, all of those things are making me be more successful being 100% raw.

For myself, when I was trying to be 100% raw, I was essentially "forcing" myself to do it - and after a while I rebelled! I ate all kinds of stuff. But transitioning, now I'm CHOOSING to eat raw, because it feels so much better - there's nothing to rebel against, no craving within me to eat those other things. I just plain don't want them.

Just FWIW.

And don't beat yourself up about it if you do slip up, because like everythong else in life, nobody's perfect. I too am new to it (again!), and after 11 days of 100% I slipped and am trying to get back in the groove. I work in a restaurant with great food, and my partner loves to cook but doesn't want to cook just for himself. Its tough, because he really wants to support me, too, and doesn't want to encourage me to do something that I feel isn't good for me. I really am feeling it in my digestive system as a result of going off raw. I had already dumped a lot of toxins in the 11 days I was 100%, and I feel it being built back in less than 2 weeks. So listen to your body, too. But take it one day at a time, and consider each day a new opportunity for a new start.

Good luck! I hope you sail through your 21 days.

I know personally, if I were to try to "follow the rules" my rebellious streak would definitely take over. I'm just starting out and I know I can't do it 100%. Keep us posted on your progress, and maybe share any interesting ideas you get from the book as you go through it.
