Weird Nervous and a tad overwhelmed....

So... in about an hour I will take my mom to the airport and have my place back to myself and go shopping for my first time thinking RAW....

I am feeling a tad overwhelmed... I know I do not have to be PERFECT out of the gate...but I would like to be! haha I have read my books over and over ....and I think I might be thinking a tad too much.... and really just slowly driving myself insane....

Keeping room for error and self forgiveness will be an important thing to keep me on track and not giving up.....

I am thinking about getting a costco card and getting some of my lettuce and things there (since they can be very expensive otherwise) .... but man yeah... just feeling a bit overwhelmed....nervous and excited.....

Its all very exhausting.... haha

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Good Luck

Good luck on your journey. I too will be embarking 100% on this path. Mistakes will happen, but you are moving forward. Kudos!

Happy New Year!

See if you can join one of those farm suppliers. I cant remember the name...(sorry) Anyway, I pay $60. a month for a whole lot of fresh whatever is in season on the farm. I pick it up once aweek usually on Saturdays as it is convenient for me It will help you save money and get alot of stuff without having to shop the stores.
Hang in there! Happy Raw New You Year!

Just be gentle with yourself - and don't forget detoxing can bring up a variety of unexpected emotions and physical responses.

Also, you can make the recipes as complex or simple as you want - a simple tossed salad with raw nuts or seeds works just as well as a raw lasagne.

I understand what you're saying about cost and shopping at Costco - but I would encourage you to go organic as much as you can, getting better deals at Farmer's Markets or hooking up with a delivery service like Meadowlark suggested - or even growing your own.

I am committed to being organic for a variety of reasons, but recently I've been reading some things about so-called "conventionally" grown foods, and what I've learned makes me shudder.

Finally, I just wanted to say if you DO find yourself eating some cooked foods sometimes, don't beat yourself up about it. Maybe you won't, but I certainly know some people for whom it took time to figure out how to fill different biological hungers with raw food. Eating cooked, they know what to eat, but trying a new way of eating sometimes it can take a while to figure it out.

Patience and gentleness is key!!

It isn't a waste if you eat it.

Sounds like you are having fun shopping. Sam's and Costso often get organic produce and a lot of the conventional produce they get is great. I don't do all organic due to cost - I'm not worried - I'm still getting far more nutrients than on cooked SAD.

That first part should be interesting....I am excited to see what my body can do ...and wants to do.... and have lots of hope that my body will straighten out ...drop some weight...and maybe lose some of the other physical issues I have....

If not...meh...no big deal....it is still a healthier way to live....

The last part of your reply to me is the most important thing that I have to remember...

I am so hard on myself in so many ways... and really most of them are totally outlandish and well...frankly... stupid! So easy does it and its is all a process are the things I am trying to remember...

Thanks a ton ^_^

You're welcome! I know a lot of people are very much go for it 100% types and want to make you "wrong" or "bad" if you're not or have times when you eat something cooked.

It took me a while to realize that regardless of what other people say, I have to do it my own way, in a way that works for me. But until I got that concept, I beat myself up quite a bit too!!!

Nothing like people such as Anthony Robbins, David Wolfe, and Gabriel Cousens talking about taking time to slowly transition, and to be patient with yourself and the process to put it into perspective!
