Sad I feel Yucky, oh so yucky, i feel barfy and tired and grey..

Blahhh... I've been eating about 50 to 75 percent raw foods for about a week and a half now. At first I felt great. Now I feel like I wan't to nap or barf or maybe both at the same time. I think I've been doing everything right. I got a lot of counceling from my guru sissy. But she's not answering her phone right now. I know that as my body releases all the nasties I'm going to feel like this. But am I doing this right? I had lots of salad and fruits, drink enough water hopefully, been taking a tablespoon of vitamineral green daily. I also take digestive enzymes before each meal. I've been eating very antioxidant rich super foods, and having a tablespoon of Odo's omega oil blend. Should I just power through this? When is it going to stop?!? I did cut out meat and dairy totally except one serving of sushimi that I had a couple days ago. Help?

Thanks!!

I really do need to write a standard paragraph to just paste in when some young person writes this almost identical post.

What's your hurry? How are you going to know how anything affects you if you go and change everything all at once?!

You don't need to have a healing crisis at all. You took out your six shooters and started just shooting all your bullets in all directions without having much of a clue on how any of it might be take effect.

You are taking lots of supplements that might all be making you detox like crazy and any of which your body might just hate.

You are taking enzymes with every meal when if you are eating all live food you need no supplementary enzymes. These extra enzymes might also be making you go into extreme detox depending on what kind they are.

You cut out masses of proteins and might not be replacing them well enough.

You might be eating all cold foods and your body might be freaking out because of that imbalance.

Your body might not want that much fruit, or that much veggies or that much nuts/seeds/sprouts. Who on earth would ever know?

You spent your whole life eating a certain way. Bodies don't like being manhandled into health. It usually will backfire.

You are attempting to change a life-long habit and create new life-long habits. This is not a sprint. It's a marathon.

Tell us what you were eating before you changed everything and maybe we can choose together one thing to change at a time and see what works for you and what doesn't. That's really the only way to know for sure what your body is liking and what it isn't.

It is my opinion that there is no good reason to power through any kind of detox unless your doctor has told you that you have only a short time to live.

Your determination and excitement are commendable. If you were willing to make such a radical change and stick with it then it should be extremely easy for you to slow down and make a more gradual, comfortable and permanent change.

Live foods are delicious, healthy, invigorating and should be FUN! Let's get you back to fun.

Embrace your detox

Probably detox. Embrace it. Celebrate it. Your body is healing and cleansing if it's detox and this is a wonderful thing. Just rest, get plenty of fluids. Green juices will help alkalize.

Keep smiling and power through it
