Digestion/Bloating

So I'm a raw newbie, and am going to be transitioning within the next few days - so I had a question.

I naturally have a very sensitive/unhappy stomach, and I get bloated and cramped really easily - I was wondering if the raw diet helps with any of these?

And if so, have any of you had these problems and dealt with them through the diet?

Thanks!

the raw "diet" (really lifestyle) when 100% (theoretically) allows to body to be perfectly healthy on it's own. the body regenerates when needed and cures any disease if it should attack. the raw lifestyle strives for the body to be what it's supposed to be, perfect. most of us have a hard time with this (myself included), but with that in mind, any steps you make towards 100% should only help any discomforts you may have. myself personally, i have not had cramps since becoming raw two years ago. i used to get them EVERY month. i also no longer get headaches!!!
good luck and keep me posted.

You should feel wonderful

Hi!
You should begin to feel awesome when you're eating Raw. But, it's important to know that you'll probably have some detox symptoms. And, this could include bloating. So, take your time and relax as you ease into Raw. If you go 100% hard core right away, it could be painful (headaches, stuffy and runny nose, aches, tired, bloating, nasea, etc).

One thing that helps with bloating when you eat Raw is blending your foods (drinking smoothies and soups - especially if you eat heavy greens like kale).

Have a terrific day!
