I am new to this board and very excited, scared about this new way of eating and life with assistance from Raw eaters! I am a normal sized gal, but as of last year I came about with a major illness, causing me to be hospitalized for bleeding internally while originally thinking that I merely had the flu. I had some other symptoms prior, but just kinda brushed it off as a sign of working too hard, neglecting myself. When I got sick I had been taking Chlorophyll and Nat'l Apple Cider Vinegar for a few months, while also sporadically taking B12. Of course other than that coincidentally it seems as though my eating patterns have worsened in a matter of a few years-more sugar/salt/processed/convenient food consumption. This is what I would really like to see change, and I am looking to go Raw. I would imagine that this would be a better eating style for me and my Juvenile Onset Diabetic husband. What would be really amazing is if I could actually be independent from my current medication that doctors claim to sustain my life. (I have never been a medicine, or even consistent vitamin/mineral taker in the past). Do yall know if this is possible in changing my eating habits, something that I do know is partially on the agenda of my treating physician. I would just really like to have the quality of my life back WITH my liver and spleen. I believe from what I have already read that going raw is a great place to start.
I actually juiced some fruits/veges for the second time ever yesterday. (A sweet friend who is knowledgeable of my now liver/spleen illness, was kind enough to give me a juicer for my B-day last year). I did eat some other not as good food, but aimed for that to be at a minimum.
Where do I begin? How do I find easy, quick, reasonably priced raw foods? Is it good to juice? Or is it just as good to eat whole fresh food stuffs? Does anyone partake of chlorophyl and Natural ACV; if so, is that helpful? How do I 'kick' the other cravings...Pringles by the can, candy bars, etc .... I would love to be a success story and go RAW!
Any/All Support is welcomed-Thanks
