You've got it a bit mixed up here.
Raw fruit and vegetables contain thier own enzymes which digest the food itself, so your body doesn't have to do any work. When you eat cooked foods, the enzymes are dead, so your body has to work hard to digest it. We only have so much digestive enzymes, if you eat cooked they're all but gone by the age of 40. This causes all the classic aging symptoms.
Your body attacks cooked food as if it is a poison. This doesn't happen with raw foods.
You probably eat "healthy" but keep on gaining weight because the cooked food you eat has no nutrients, your body doesn't know what to do with it and stores it away from your internal organs on your legs, bottom, etc... as fat It does this because it can only take in and use food which contains live enzymes. The enzymes are the messengers which tell your body what to do with the food.
And you are always hungry because no matter how much cooked food you eat, because there's no nutrients in it your body always asks for more and more. A raw foodist can eat very little and have tons more energy than a cooked person.

Personally, I have been raw for a year and a half now. I've gone down 4 dress sizes, my face is more attractive, my eyes are bright. I am no longer depressed, pessimistic and irritable. I am in the process of reincarnating without dying.
