I Am About To Buy A Vitamix Blender ..help

I AM ABOUT TO BUY A VITA MIX BLENDER. IS THERE A SPECIFIC ONE I SHOULD BUY, AND DO I NEED TO BUY THE WET AND DRY BLADE AS WELL? I AM STARTING MY RAW FOOD JOURNEY THE SECOND WEEK OF APRIL AND I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PREPARE ALL MY MEALS WITH EASE.
I HAVE A FOOD PROCESSOR, I AM BUYING THE Excalibur DEHYDRATOR BUT THE VITA MIX I AM CONFUSE ON WHAT MODEL TO BUY?
IF ANY ONE CAN HELP ME I WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS.

Hey Corndancer! I have the 5000. I love it. the 5200 just came out a couple of months ago, so you might be able to get a deal on the 5000. I don't know that you'd need the dry blade pitcher doing raw. I only have the wet blade and it's great. The dry blade is for making flour. We sprout grains and they are then soft enough to put through the food processor to make breads.

It all depends on what you are going to do, how you eat, what kind of recipes you plan on making.

The dry containers would be useful in grinding grains and seeds. I use a Blendtec which does it all due to the shape of the blades, and I also use my magic bullet for smaller amounts.

If money is no object you should get the latest model.

If you have a large family you might want to consider buying an extra blender jar.
