Question Raw Food Essentials

What's your most used kitchen equipment?

I think my blender and knife is the most essential equipment in my raw kitchen.

What about you?

hi rawguru!

blender and knife are my most used as well!
i've got a nice big excalibur dehydrator, but rarely use it!
that's okay though...its good to have for those rare occasions (to anyone thinking about buying one).

My Vita Mix! Everything that comes out of it is just divine! It always amazes me....its always there for me....it is a good listener....we have so much in common...I think I kind of have a crush on it!

I second that! My vitamix is definitely my most used and valued kitchen item. Next would be a knife and then probably a 4 cup measure which i use to drink green smoothies

goldielion - YOU ARE TOO FUNNY! Maybe you and your Vita-Mix should get married! My most used kitchen item would be my blender (haven't splurged for a Vita-Mix yet but after reading about goldielion, I just might!), next would be my food processor

An...Vita Mix infatuation....he loves me...he loves me not.... I saved and finally bought a Vita Mix from the Boutenkos. They are such a lovely family and I want to support them. The VM makes awesome green smoothies, I put a bunch of kale and water and liquify it, then add some bananas and mangoes (if they're on sale). It makes a soft, green ambrosia that I just love! It also turns nuts into powder, gently warms soups, I think I could throw a brick in it and it would grind it up.

Sounds like a Vita Mix is a must-have in your book goldielion! But I just splurged on a dehyrator so I'll have to start saving again! I did warn my husband that as soon as the motor blows on our blender, I want to buy a Vita Mix (he was kind of silent ??? HA HA)Unless, of course, my current blender has a sudden, unexpected accident........then I might need to buy a Vita Mix sooner than anticipated!

I THIRD that!

I use my Vitamix and knives every single day in my raw kitchen. One time i had a power outage and I felt very lost without the use of my blender... very lost =(

Vitamix is definitely the most used in my kitchen and on the road. I travel a lot with work and take my vita mix and a knife with me and have it made.
