I found that too - If I make something that is unappetising there is no way I can stick to raw and start craving normal, nice food.

So if it means not drinking a juice I've made because it's so gross, then so be it, otherwise I'll want to change back.

That was quite a revelation for me as I used to make myself eat gross raw food/juices.

Hey Tappy, Thanks. I've gone one step further and now only eat things that I think are absolutely delicious. I had a friend you thought that Echinacea was good for her and so forced herself to take it every day for years although she thought the bitter herb was horrible. She ended up killing out her good bacteria. I think that our bodies, with a little guidance, will crave what they need and find what they need delicious. When I have an infection nothing taste better to me than Echinacea. Other times, I'm like everyone else - yuk! I have figured out for myself slowly that when I crave something that is bad it has something that I actually need about it. I used to crave salt and fat like crazy. Many years ago - probably 10-15 I decided to learn everything that I could about salt and fat to find out why. I figured that in the wild salt and fat were very hard to find so I must be craving it like we do sugar because it's a refined form of our natural diet of fruit. My research proved that to be true. Grazing animals will risk their lives to get to a salt lick. It's animals that eat greens that need salt and if you eat greens salt is important. I also read all about oil. Wow, what an eye opener that was!!! I was lucky enough to find the only distributor of celtic sea salt at the time and one of the few good sources of oils. It's does my soul good to see how prevelant and easy to find these things are now - but they weren't always. I had to join a club and pay a yearly subscription to get the salt and it was very expensive. But my body thrived on it. My serious salt and fat desires from what seemed like infancy slowly started to abate. It took a great many years, but now I don't even want oil - except recently the salmon and some avocado. When I first went live I ate three avocados a day and lots of salad dressing. I eat no oil at all and never more than half an avocado. I mostly prefer fruit and desire it. I used to want only fatty foods. I must have been so deficient. I am going to be very interested to see what happens when I integrate the flax seed oil and raw goat yogurt that Passionforliving talked about on another thread. My body seems to be happy about the idea. But one thing is for sure, if it tastes yucky, if it makes me unhappy or if it makes me weak - it's history.
