my problem is that i cant eat anything or i will feel nauseous and i have lost seven pounds, my bmi is 17 now.

soaking nuts

Hello. Try putting a little bit of salt and a bit of vinegar into your soaking water.

If you are eating healthier food than you have been accustomed to, you may also be detoxifying.

Does this happen with all nuts that you soak or just almonds?

it was definitely food poisoning; I was admitted to the hospital for a week because my potassium levels were dangerously low. I also had protein and vitamin b12 deficiency. The doctor advised me to stop the raw food diet and go back to a cooked vegan diet (they really wanted me to eat a “normal” diet but I love animals too much). My family really got on my back about eating the right foods and my sister practically tried to force me to eat dairy, eggs and seafood. I'm scared that this will happen again if I go on a raw food diet again, I am also afraid that I will get osteoporosis and anemia with the raw food diet. The doctor told me to eat more food to gain the weight back, it was difficult. How do you get all of your essential amino acids with a raw food diet? One doctor told me that cooking food breaks down the cell walls of vegetables so that nutrients are released and can be absorbed better, what is your opinion? What should I do? also why do many foods taste great cooked but taste gross sprouted such as almonds and chickpeas. i am puzzled!

Hi Mal, last week I soaked almonds and had a few after having a salad and a smoothie. Soon, I realized how bad I felt like vomiting. This, didn't stop their. Now, I had a stomache ache, I realized that, especially when eating RAW, you have to think more about food combining. Some foods like coconuts, and almonds can be really dense and don't go well when you've got to many mixtures happening in your stomache. Also, try not to mix oil fats to often like sesame and avocado to much.

i guess i will stick to a 50% raw diet, 100% raw food diet is too much for me.
