For breakfast I usually have a spinach salad, which is 1-2 cups spinach and 3-2 cups arugula, 1/2 cup tomatoes, and depending on which salad I make, might also have 1/4 c onions, 1.5c avocado, 1/2tsp jalapeno pepper, 2T lime juice, or 2T sunflower oil, 1 tsp cumin, and 2T lemon juice.
If I don't have a salad, I might have a spinach smoothie which is 1 cup water, 1 cup spinach, 1 cup cilantro, 1T coconut butter, and 1/2T agave.
I sometimes also have a hemp shake. I'm not sure if it's raw, but it comes in handy when my BF and I are both in a rush and need our one blender, I can make this by shaking it up in a container. This is 1 cup hemp milk, and 1 serving Hempshake mix (there are alot of good ones out there).
I nearly always have my superfoods with breakfast, which is put directly into the smoothie, or added to water and shaken or stirred up. (1T Pure Synergy, 1T goji berries, 1 tsp maca, 1T cacao. Sometimes I add more cacao and/or maca.)
Lunch is a big salad, which generally is about 4 cups of lettuce and greens (includes a combination of different lettuces, mache, cilantro, arugula, and whatever else we have that looks good in the garden), plus 1/2 cup kale, 1/2 cup spinach (if I didn't have 1 cup spinach for breakfast I add more to lunch), about 1/2 cup broccoli, 4-7 Chinese pea pods, 1/2 medium tomato, about 1/4 cup onion, 1 clove garlic, 1/4-1/2 avocado, 1 tsp sesame seeds, 1T pumpkin seeds, and 1/4-1 full cup of alfalfa sprouts. I will also add anything else that looks good or is fresh, such as basil, parsley, sunflower sprouts, nasturtium, broccoli or arugula flowers. I also add 2-3 T raw salad dressing.
Dinner is generally something with a nut or seed pate, such as nut balls or patties, a pate used in place of beans for tacos or burritos, rawvioli, things like that. Sometimes I'll have a different kind of salad, such as cucumber or cabbage. I generally have 1-2 cups of salad to go with whatever else I'm eating. I noticed I feel best if I eat leafy greens at every meal, so most of the time now I don't have a cucumber salad, for instance, but might have a dandelion salad, or a typical side salad.
For snacks, I generally have sprouted nuts or seeds.
I know I need to incorporate more fruit in my diet, but my body reacts very strongly to sugars. I'm trying to find a way to do that, but so far it's making me really wiggy.
A lot of people I know start their day with a fruit smoothie where I have a green one. (That's why my BF and I can't make smoothies at the same time! We can't just make a double batch as his is all fruit, and he doesn't want to try my spinach one.)
