P.S. I used to go back and forth with people like you are writing about...I hardly do that now. I think I wasted too much time trying to "convince" everyone that this is the perfect diet for humankind, when I wasn't concentrating enough on myself just doing it!

We just have to lead by example. My family eats some raw (smoothies, juices, salads fruits, etc) but not all raw...I'm looking forward to the day when they do though...I've been doing this over 6 years and tend to go back and forth with it due to the fact that my family will still eat cooked...I think all those raw families like the Boutenkos and the Taliferos tend to have it a lot easier since no cooked food gets in the house!

Have you guys ever seen "Messages from water"? Where Masaru Emoto photographs frozen water crystals after exposing it [water] to classical music or heavy metal, or by placing the words " love" or "hate" on the jars of water and then photographing how the water changes? Fascinating stuff. Anyway, I'll share a secret ...Here goes...I have a clear water bottle that I take to work and I have written all over it the words"beautiful" "healthy" "vibrant" "happines" "love" "family", etc. because I figure if water becomes what you tell it and I am going to drink that water, and my body is made up of mostly water...well you get where I am goin with this and if you don't just check out this link:

Hey Gypsie, Hubbie and I did the same thing!!! We wrote all over our water bottles until it was a bit too embarrassing taking them out with us. My husband wrote "perfect" on mine (isn't that sweet).

That was an amazing thing to see in the movie - Darn - I can't remember the name of that movie.... It was the one before the Secret that was basically about the same thing (but not as well done except the water part).

That is most definitely related to the power of mind - actually - it's really the very best example out there! Thanks for mentioning it.

That is really funny. I am surprised that no one has started a business of selling water with positive affirmations already on the bottle! Glad you knew what I was talking about. I think the movie is called "What the bleep do we know?" It was actually circulating for a long time in the small obscure theatres. I haven't see the movie, but I have read Masaru Emoto's book. The evidence is very compelling. But I wondered...is it the actual word or is it the "intent" of the person who places the word on the container? Also I remember people on this forum and others that say that they use positive imagery when they are consuming the raw foods. Visualizing and thinking how great the nourishment is to their bodies. I am really noticing the mind/body connection as I read everyone's posts. We all have our doubts at some time if we can really do this. Is it a stretch to think that after eating raw our bodies respond even quicker to negative as well as positive thoughts? Could that be why when we are eating raw and family and friends place seeds of doubt in our minds then we start to see our bodies respond negatively which makes us doubt even more? Maybe a twist on the placebo effect is that sometimes we can eat 100% raw and still start to experience negative health because people around us are negative and we start to take in what they are telling us and we start to have doubts too. Because a raw bodyis more efficient--it probably responds faster to such subconscious commands. Just as some people recover from illnesses taking a placebo instead of the real medicine...maybe people deteriorate for no real reason too.

My experience with healing Gypsie is that it is much more complex than diet or even thought in it's simple affirmation form. Each person is such a complex of thoughts, emotions, environment, society, diet, history and dna ... and I would venture to say karma.... and we are all so original and unique in our makeups.... that I would have to say that in my experience there is no quick and easy response to your ponderings. Are people that eat raw more sensitive or are people that are basically more sensitive attracted to eating raw foods? I would say that they both true in my case. I was sensitive to begin with and raw foods makes me more so in many ways, but it also makes me solid and able to bounce back more negativity than when I am eating cooked food, but I could easily imagine that for others they get more sensitive to negatives and have a harder time with it than if they weren't raw. People also could still have illness eating all raw because illness is much more complex than only diet. There are people that do deteriorate just because they live with a toxic person - apparently for no reason. I have seen this. It's no different than feeling better and better when you are around positive people or someone who loves you.

Those messages on the bottle are going to be almost impossible to verify where the change comes from because the person adding the message had to be thinking that thought. The beautiful thing is though, that the messages on our bottles were re-affirmed with our thoughts every time we read them even if just the written words didn't have the affect. I think just proving that thought has such an affect is pretty earth - shattering proof of the power of thought.

Well, since words and thoughts have such amazing power.... Gypsie, I send you light, love, support and empowerment!!!!

I first saw the movie, and then a couple years later I found his book and fell in love with his message. I've been lending out that book so much that I feel the need to buy more copies.

And yes, I believe that the publishing company does indeed sell nalgene style water bottles with positive words or messages on them. I think they also sell stickers to put on your own bottles, and a few other products with the same idea. It's pretty cool I guess, but I like to just stop before I take a drink and quietly thank the water or maybe say I love you, and if it is indeed based on the power of thoughts, I feel that is enough. It's easy to forget, so maybe the words on the bottles are just a reminder to you, and once you read them it triggers those transforming waves. Either way, it is fascinating research.
