Late for dinner - need snack help!!

I'm really good about getting my food on time, but instead of having dinner at 4 (my usual time) we pushed things back to 6 - but now we're going to be even LATER because he's still working with his client, and apparently on our 'date night' we have to go spend time with someone else first.

So, I've already had 200g of strawberries, 2 oz of cheese (yeah, yeah, I know but it's worked in the past), and now I'm drinking some coconut water.

I'm REALLY hungry and my blood sugar is REALLY crashing and have no idea what to eat that'll help - yet not make me too full for dinner (which is a raw food restaurant, and I really want to try the food or else I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm about ready to just have dinner (which should have gone into the dehydrator 5 hours ago) and say we gotta do date night another time.

Any ideas?

A little late replying but what comes to my mind is a banana. That would keep you from a sugar crash for sure.

Yeah, remember how we talked about that before? I might get a sugar "high" that might, MIGHT, keep me going, but the crash that follows is dangerous to me - severe depression and all that. I'm staying far away from bananas.

Unfortunately as today is shopping day we were also running low on things. I ate all the berries we had, and was out of avocado, so couldn't even try that dulse/avocado combo someone recommended.

Turns out, though, once the coconut water really kicked in, it actually got me full enough that I really wasn't interested in dinner.

But I don't always have access to coconut water, and I want to go out on 'date night' and actually eat something, so I really need to try to figure this out.

That's right. For some reason I thought it was a little better after your recent cleanse.

You are doing great!

Yeah. I agree with the banana thing. Bananas replenish lost energy and they are perfect for meal skippers.
