Favorite Raw Food Book for KIDS

Does anyone have any books good for young kids 11 and under to help them understand why raw is better?

The Boutenkos put one out for kids, written by their kids I believe. Check their site www.rawfamily.com or Amazon.

Revvell

But I think that one is aimed more at a teen rather then a small child isn't it? I have not read it yet.

Thumbs up

I actually carry a great raw book for kids. It's called Raw Kids: Transitioning Children to a Raw Food Diet by Cheryl Stoycoff

Check it out below.

This does not sound like something for a child.. Sounds like it is for the parents. I am looking for something that is like a childs book with lots of color and stuff to keep a childs attention. That helps tell the benefits of raw foods.. but in a childs language.

A childs book not a parents book to help teach a child..

but this book would be good for the parent it seems. Thanks for the suggestion...

hi debbie.

i don't know if it will help your children understand raw food better, but there's a book called "eating the alphabet: fruits and vegetables from a-z" by lois ehlert. described as "In brilliant watercolor collages, Lois Ehlert introduces young readers to a wide variety of fruits and vegetables from A to Z." that could be a start. i know someone recommended the boutenko children's book, but that might be better for older children. i haven't read it. their book "raw family" is a book maybe you could read to them. its a simple and fairly short book about the family's switch to raw food written from all 4 points of view. their children were pretty young then, so your children might be able to relate to them.

if i come across anything else, i'll let you know!

no but it's nice to see young people getting introduced by their parents, i wish i had been. would have made things much easier today had i grown up on the diet. i know a friend of my sister's who stays faithfully vegetarian when she eats dinner over here regardless of what my mother and sister are eating because she grew up that way from a young child.
