Question Wait...

Your problem is the tattoo, not your immune system. (As long as you are varying your 'raw' diet.) Putting ink into you blood stream is VERY unnatural, and because your body is so much cleaner now, it is saying..."what the heck are you doing?!" Anyway, it sucks, but it's the truth. Sorry

Yes, I agree that tatooing is an unnatural process - I believe it does something to the blood chemistry - there are warnings on hair color boxes that say if you have a tatoo it will increase your sensitivity.

I'm sorry that I can't address your question!

I know you want to take care of your skin - the only thing that comes to mind is a total fast - as in rest and take nothing but water until you heal, as that is the ultimate way to allow a body to heal anything.

Other than that, maybe apply an aloe leaf - I've also read about using plaintain skins to heal wounds. Something you might want to google about.

Ooh! Sorry to necro a month-old thread on my first post (by the way, hi! Newbie here), but you never want to apply aloe to a fresh tattoo. It leaches the ink from the skin, and can cause scarring that makes repairing the tattoo more difficult.

I've never heard of a water-only fast being good for the immune system. The idea is fascinating. In my experience, the best way to help body art heal is to increase consumption of vitamin C and probiotics -- immune boosters like echinacea and prunella vulgaris aren't bad either.

And yes, realistically, the first reply is correct ... the body reacts quite dramatically to toxins after having been clean for a long period of time. I've seen it happen with my own ink.

Edited to add: Incidentally, there are nontoxic, organic tattoo inks. They require more frequent touch-ups, but I've found that they heal better initially. Most artists will at least know where to get some, or be able to recommend an artist who uses them.

Amazed sea salt

well i am a heavily tattooed individual and if your raw food diet is well balanced, and you are healthy, then you should have no problem healing properly. have you searched healing tattoos? have you serched about sea salt and healing tattos? maybe you need a vitamin to suppliment your diet. changing to any new diet oreven maintaing one is hard to keep it perfectly balanced. that is common knowledge. try sea salt and tattoo healing search and maybe consider a multi vitamin suppliment. dont let it stay too moist either. and clean with antibac soap several times daily. i used to woek at a tattoo shop as well as i am studying health and nutrition at a university now. goodluck - chi
