Hey, does anyone else want to start a chat???

I've been on this site forever and I just figured out that if you press the Chat button on the top line that there is a whole chat board that we could go back and forth on quickly!

Let's pick a day and time to have a get together. Let's take a vote on when y'all can do it and give it a try!!!

I am up for it but can't always stay online for long periods of time. So it may be something that I say "hi" and then have to get up. If you are okay with that, it's good with me too.

I meant 15 minutes or half an hour at the most. Just that we have to pick a time for us to agree to be on-line together.

Hi GB - I may be able to stay on 15 or 30.

I'm home with children doing school - sometimes I can be on for that long without interrruption and sometimes not.

It would be great for more folks to join in on the chat so it wouldn't matter so much if 1 person has to pause.

Absolutely, this is our second year. My son was in a traditional private school through first grade and the change in is attitude and maturity was better by 300 percent after homeschooling. We have lots of opportunities to get out and volunteer as a part of our school day during the week which is so cool.

BTW, sorry for getting off topic--it's just so rare to find raw foodist, Christian homeschoolers out there (three very important values to me), so I had to ask!

Yes, I too notice a difference between my kids and other kids. There's a maturity there because they are used to communicating with adults using more mature language and not picking up bad attitudes and behaviour through "social***tion". I do not care for that 13 letter word.

I also get compliments, even from a friend who half homeschools/half public schools her 5 kids - she notices a huge difference between ours and theirs, in attitude and maturity level.

I agree it's great to find pro-raw people who have the same 3values.

I think a chat would be great, but I would prefer a dedicated IRC channel. A Java or Flash client could be added to the site for those who don't want to setup their own IRC clients. I could setup a channel on Freenode if it's wanted (or another server if anyone has suggestions).

Seems that there are lots of homeschooling people here. I have had a mix of private, public, public-magnet, and homeschooling. Currently doing homeschool for this grade, as I have done with the previous 5 grades. I really enjoy it over public school :-).
