The following questions come from various people from raw food message boards and chatrooms around the world!

1.) How did you get into the raw foods and who trained you to be the chef that you are now?

Went veggie, then vegan and just naturally moved more into raw as time went on and then the vegan glue diet was so bad there was no where else to go.
No one trained me, I trained them all. When I got here there was only wheatgrass and hummus.

2.) What raw principles do you personally embrace?

No disacorides*, no grains, no starches, all organic.
*disaccords : Lack of harmony; disagreement.

3.) What is your typical day like and what would you eat?

Eat at the restaurant. All my meals.

4.) Have you experienced any deficiencies on the raw food diet? What does the optimum raw diet consist of and do you take any supplements?

No supplements. Deficiencies come from things we ??ve taken in causing deficiencies We have everything, we ??re fine.

5.) Do you ever get sick?

Never get sick, there ??s no such thing. You ??re cleansing.

6.) Not everyone can be a great chef or spend the time as preparing. What suggestions would you give for the simple person?

Get faster. Wraps are fast.

7.) What recipe are you MOST proud of (can you share it with us? )

Seed cheese. Pick anyone out of the book.

8.) How have your raw recipes evolved through the years?

I ??ve always been a guinis.

9.) Why do you no longer use bananas, dates,
carrots or cashews in your recipes.
They're disacorides.

10.) Do you use vodka in some of your recipes? If so, what brand and why?

I like vodka sky to be exact.

11.) What trends do you see in raw restaurants...are they expanding outside of Calif? Or struggling?

Raw will soon be wide spread.

12.) What are some of the greatest frustrations with the current raw movement?

None, everything ??s amazing!

13.) Do you realize what a positive influence you and your "uncook book" have been to people going raw?

Yes, wait though, more info is coming! World changing info!

14.) What are your two most important bits of advice about how to go raw and stay raw successfully?

Understand cooked foods are poison metal and make delicious raw foods.

15.) What are some of your current projects and are you planning on writing another uncook book?

My food network show and a new book in spring.

16.) Do you use marijuana or other recreational drugs?

No drugs but I have done them in the past, shrooms are fine a couple times a year.

17.) Have you been involved in any criminal court proceedings in the last 4 years.

No criminal things in the last four years.

Me too. When I sent him the interview, I said take your time and make it as detailed as possible. This is what they sent me back. Hopefully, next time it will be a lot longer.

I listened to a radio interview with him once and was horrified because of how he sounded! I didn't want everyone out there to think we are all so... abrupt. And, well, lots of other descriptives. Athough, because I'm already raw I personally got a kick out of him and he imparted info I hadn't known about. I just wish sometimes he'd tone it down, or in this brief interview, tone it up a notch... perhaps he just got up from a nap?
I really, really want to go eat at his restaurant ... sounds so good.

I agree with the comments above. He doesn't answer questions well, or even helpfully and I get the impression that he feels its all a waste of his time. And +1 on the cockiness. I've always been a genius? *rolls eyes* It seems that he doesn't want to give out any real good info unless people buy his book.

I don't find the interview to be cocky, he is being brief. I would have liked to read more however.
