| Spherical carrots which are just the right size for lunchboxes are about to go on sale in the UK. Waitrose will sell the vegetable in 75 of its stores nationwide. A spokeswoman for the store said: "We think the totally round carrot will encourage children to get their daily source of vitamins."The carrots cost 89p for 250g, compared with 12p for the normal variety. The variety was originally developed by 19th century Parisian market workers, according to the Daily Express.
