What kind of toothpaste do you use?

What do you use to clean your teeth? And have you noticed any improvements in dental health with raw?

Someone recently told me that bananas are the worst for your teeth because they get in between your teeth worse than any other fruit!

Now I have been obsessively brushing my teeth...

I use Toothsoap.

I've had problems on raw with my teeth, there has been alot of us that have I've come to find out. I don't know why it happens, but I'm trying to correct it now.
I've always used various toothsoaps but now am brushing with hydroperoxide, baking soda, and sea salt.
I've come to know that the most *important* thing to do is at least rinse your mouth after eating. And floss very often. Eating some celery after a meal helps too.
I feel dried fruit is the WORST offender when it comes to teeth, as it sticks so. Anything that sticks along your gumline is bad news for your teeth.
You sound very aware of what you are doing, keep that awareness, you are doing fine.

Thanks Elsaraw, I think you are very right in saying that being conscious of it is very helpful. Since going raw I have been ultraconscious about my teeth. I have also been careful to rinse after eating, at least with water if not with brushing.

Revkale, can you tell me more about this diluted activated effective micro organism soulution that you use? What is it? Where do you buy it? Why does it help?

I just got toothsoap and will use it for at least until the end of the jar to see if there is any difference in my gums/teeth. I've also gotten samples of a new toothpaste which contains no flouride, no glycerin, no sls. It's called Phyto Shield.http://www.phytoshield.us/

I use Peelu Dental Fibers. The tooth powder made from the Siwak tree, and resembles sawdust like material called Peelu Dental Fibers. It contains no abrasive material, artificial color or animal products. People of Asia, Middle East and parts of Africa have used the branches of the Siwak tree to clean to keep their teeth white and free from cavities for centuries

Effective micro organisms

Effective micro organisms are pro biotics in liquid form. They have a million uses. I'm amazed by what I've found so far.

Regarding using it as a mouth rinse...It creates an amazing microblial balance in the mouth that I believe can reverse gum disease and even reverse cavities. A friend of mine used EM on a toothache and it vanished in a few hours.

I use diluted em on all my plants and on my wheatgrass. It has completely eliminated the fungusy growth that wheatgrass can get sometimes. I was my dark laundry in it also with borax.

I use EM with epsom salt to create an amazing friendly microbial salt glow! I bathe in it also, and use it in my colonics.

My favorite discovery of activated EM is that it has a tendancy to completely eliminate ingrown hairs and red bumps after shaving. I figured this out after an esticician (spelling) told me ingrown hairs and red bumps were caused by bacteria. That led me to use EM.

Probiotics can also be taken internally for amazing results. They colonize in the colon and rid the body of candida and other junk. I haven't taken em intenally though, I use a product called natures biotics which has been the best probiotic I've seen around. Other probiotics will be ok usually also.

I first heard of EM at the tree of life rejuvination center in Patagonia AZ (Gabriel Cousens.) So far I've purchased it from scdworld.com There may be other sources by now. Make sure you learn how to "activate" it when you buy it which will stretch the $20 product more than twenty times and make it really really really strong.

EM has also been used to clean up oil and chemical spills.

This summer while I'm in Idaho I'm gonna put it in the soil of my garden for super organic crops. (Its used agriculturally as well)
