Hi smoothyme, I really can relate to and understand your fear. When I began raw I was very afraid of losing weight. I was afraid of living to my full potential because I was afraid of what changes that might mean for me. Does that sound like what you're feeling?

I think too often we live our lives governed by fear. If you really want to go raw, you need to find a positive place of love where it is coming from. I eat raw because I love myself and I want the foods I eat to love me as much as I love them. I think if you can't find a place of positivity to draw energy from, it is going to be really difficult to remain raw.

Some people choose to go 100% overnight, a la Alissa Cohen's 30-day challenge, where she encourages people to try to be 100% for 30 days. Others try to transition slowly, incorporating more and more raw foods until they are comfortable. The easiest thing to do for your digestive system is to eat two raw meals a day (breakfast and lunch) and then eat cooked for dinner. For me, i went 100% right away but had some slipups. I ate a lot of gourmet type foods at first and mock things but now I eat much more simply.
