I spoke to someone yesterday who told me that it was customary to eat a certain type of meat sandwich every Superbowl. This person is also on a raw journey.
I say you really have to find new habits because if you are going to let Superbowl deter you from eating well, you are also going to let Valentines, Easter, Summer BBQ's, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas deter you.
And hey, if you are going to let those holidays deter you, why not the weekend, and then why not every time you go out with friends, and then get invited over somewhere.
Before you know it you are back on cooked food, because there are so many ocassions and functions and this and that you get invited to. When you allow one to change your eating habits it get harder and harder to resist and be disciplined.
My tough parts of the year are Passover and Thanksgiving as those are such food centered Holidays.
