Too many fruit smoothies and not enough green ones can lead to weight gain from the high sugar content. Also, even though the fat in nuts and some fruit (avocado) is good for you they are very high in their calorific content. Added up over a long period would result in weight gain.

You would have to drink a heck of a lot of green smoothies to put on weight.
