I give my dog raw meat and carrot/apple pulp saved from juicing with some frozen peas. I usually mix it with garlic and nutritional yeast. Since eating raw, the plaque on her teeth has practically dissapeared, the vet has commented on her teeth and fur and she's a bundle of energy. I just visited with a friend who has a younger dog, spends a lot of money on high quality kibble but the dog has bad breath. The only time our dog stinks is when she rolls around in the neighbor's horse dung.
