Help with Lady Troubles? (Girls only)
So, well I guess I'll give you some background on me. Well I was 100% raw for about a week and half about a month ago. And then I just completley stopped doing the raw thing until about the 15th of this month(December).
That's when I became 100% raw, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when I gave into a few appetizers at my family's get togethers and drank a couple glasses of wine. Both those nights I felt so wrong about what I had eaten those days. Not really guilty, but sad because I knew that's not what I really wanted in my life. I want to stay raw because that's when I feel most alive and that's when I feel like I'm actually living up to all of my values. I actually cried about it. So the day after Christmas I went 100% raw again. Until today, December 28th. Oh and yesterday, a little. Yesterday I ate about 5 Christmas cookies that my grandma had given me. OH MAN did I feel gross or what. I could feel all this mucus building up in my throat and mouth. Ech.
Alright here's where I need advice from all you girls' out there. So today I got my period and man did I get some painful cramps. I haven't gotten painful cramps like that in years. So, I don't know if it was because of detoxing or what, but it caused me to crave sweets and junk food. Noooooo! I was trying to find something raw to eat that would satisfy my cravings, but I just couldn't think of anything so I gave in and ate some of the treats that my aunts gave me and some more of those cookies that my grandma gave me. So my question to all of you is what do you eat when you get pains like that and are craving something sweet or salty. I would get raw chocolate but I don't have the money for that right now. Any suggestions that are common in natural food stores or just a combinations of fruits or vegetables that works for you? Thanks guys!
