How long does it take to get to that point? I've been 100% raw since 5 pm yesterday am getting a low blood sugar headache now.

Usually within 1-2 weeks after starting raw, my appetite will settle down to where I can eat more for fuel and less for desire.
It also depends on my diet, if I'm eating more water rich plant foods and less fatty and/or dehydrated foods it's a lot easier. And if I'm staying away from excitoxins like salts and spices, it quealches my appetite. But if I'm doing all those recipes, and using a lot of seasonings in my salads, etc. then it takes longer to eat and be satisfied for a while. I think salts/spices/hi fat foods tends to keep my cravings alive.
I once went on a 7 day banana diet and it was so nice not to feel like I always had to "have" something or snack on something. I would have my meal of bananas, or banana shake or banana milk and be at peace!
I wonder if you should have a nice big fruit meal for breakfast to take care of your sugar needs, and then do more veggies later in the day? From your description it seems like you are not getting in much fruit. That is where the bulk of your calories should be coming from, or you won't be satisfied.
I know for me, if I don't eat fruit before a salad, I will crave something else, usually a sweets craving. Many times I've heard or Dr. Douglas Graham say that if you have craving or want "something else" after a salad it means you didn't have enough fruit before the salad meal.
Also the first few days of raw I will get a detox headache. It is usually whatever cooked food I've been having detoxing out of me.
Good for you on staying away from starches! Potatoes - big weakness for me! And cheese - sometimes I will have some raw cheese but I really do it for cravings, I don't feel as if it's filling some kind of nutritional void.
I believe that when I have cravings they are mainly detox, more than a nutritional need. I've heard it said the other way, but I really don't buy that I "need" something in chocolate (or that some people "need" something in coffee, or meat for instance)...I do tend to believe that it's a craving and detox effect. I have many friends who say that they "need" meat and animal protein or they feel it (they are overweight too). I cannot speak for them, and don't claim to have all the answers but I do believe that we can get all the nutrients we need through plant foods. It just takes time, practice and trust. I have been at it for many years and am slowly moving to the place I want to be. For me it's a process.
