Hi -- I am an adult onset diabetic. I have been 100% raw for six weeks and have not seen any improvement in my diabetes. However, I have read and heard about many who have gotten off their medications with a raw food diet. My impression (as far as my own diabetes) is that you have to give your body time to heal the damage eating cooked and junk food have done to it, so you can allow it to return to a normal, natural state of functioning. I am still giving it time, but I feel so much better I can't imagine not staying with it. I, too, would really like to hear from an actual person that healed their diabetes with raw foods, not just a lot of third party testimonials. Anyone out there who can share their own success?
