interesting approach. maybe when your bacterial infections heal and your health is stabilized, you can reintroduce fruit into your diet slowly? starting with low GI fruit like cucumber, tomato, and avocado...and then going to green apples, and maybe all the way to banans!
my experience with this matter is, while it may be necessary for some to go off fruit for a time until their health stabilizes, the low GI thing is really a nonissue after it does stabilize. a healthy body is much less likely to be affected by high GI foods, just as food combining is always a plus but not a regular necessity for someone with a healthy digestive system.
best of luck, let us know how it goes!
