I guess what I meant Talor is that there are so many fantastic raw recipes out there that are absolutely delicious that don't correspond to the normal holiday fair but I guess some do. The idea is delicious, abundant and celebratory. One of my favorites is making warm apple pie in my dehydrator along with banana icecream in my champion. That's absolutely a delight and to me is a complete meal in itself. There are lots of different nutloafs (often under the category of "meatloafs" in books), there are burgers and sandwiches, crackers, dips, pates and exquisite salads. I did one year oriental style with raw nori and miso soup and kimchi salad. I keep out soaked and dehydrated nuts and dried fruits to snack on, fresh juices to drink and I just love making chocolate pudding pie. I just love raw, warmed soups so that's always a course. The choices are endless. There are some great recipes books out there. Mine are still in storage so I can't quote to you my favorites at this time - but I'm sure other people can give you some hints. Maybe make a new post with a poll as to "favorite recipe books". I tend to experiment and make my own recipes as I go based on things I've tried in the past or read about in a book so that no meal is ever the exactly the same -so I'm not the best at sharing recipes. I can tell you that Gabriel Cousens has out a book, I can't remember it's name, of recipes that I found some great ideas in. It's exciting to discover a whole new culinary world - and that is what raw foods is if you would like it to be so. The three devices necessary to really go to town with outrageously delicious and extravagant meals are a high powered blender, a dehydrator and a juicer. Then the sky is the limit. If you start experimenting now, by the Holidays next year you can Wow! your family for sure.
