easy raw meat for vegetarians to feed dogs/cats

I've been a vegetarian a very very long time - but I feed my dogs raw meat. I buy them pre-made raw patties which is much easier on me than going to a butcher shop! Ugh! but only do this for my very picky maltese. This really isn't bad. It's like feeding your dogs canned dog food. If I just had my normal dog (beagle) I would just feed freeze dried. Wysong makes a fabulous cake like product for dogs and cats and Nature's Variety makes great meals in dried nuggets. There are other brands too. It's nothing at all like dealing with raw meat. It's a dried product. No different than feeding them something like kibbles. If you are afraid of dealing with raw meat for any reason (parasites, blood etc.) this is a fabulous alternative. To give a bit more nutrition I give my beagle little bits of my juices and miso and smoothies. Dogs have a hard time breaking down carbohydrates so it's better to blend or juice or grate it for them. It only should be 10% of their diet anyway - and these freeze dried meals are complete without any supplementation. There's really no excuse not to feed raw if your pet will eat any of these products.
