Raw Cats

Hi Guys,

I have a great story about my 13 year old Burmese. The short of it is this. 7 years living in the country eating free range rabbits and some tinned fish - to moving to the city, at age 9 through a 'vet's advice putting her on senior blend dried cat food and tinned food. Around 18 months down the track I figured she needed her natural diet, raw meat, actually cats like the whole of their kill. I offered her fresh meat which she used to love and lo and behold she refused it. 6 months go by and her breath is smelling something shocking.

I noticed her personality changing becoming fearful, agitated, whingey, with bad breath, dull coat, gunk in the eyes, loss of interest in playing.

Vet's answer cranky old age!!!!! Then she gets sick. Gum disease subsequent teeth removal (6) and $670.00 Aus. vet bill. I noticed a poster of a smiling dog at the vets showing owners how to clean their teeth! How absurd!

I took action fast! I removed the dry food that was slowly killing her, rotting her teeth, destroying her kidneys and aging her fast. That stuff is so addictive. It took 2 weeks of tantrums and refusal before her taste for her natural diet returned!!!!! Vet's are selling Science Brand someone mentioned here big bucks profit for them. They make money out of performing surgeries on dogs and cats as young as 4 with cancer, kidney failure, and so on. It is saddening and sickening what is happeing to our pets.

I am 100% raw vegan have been for 6 years. I feed my cat and new dog on raw and nothing else.

And I have to tell you the change in my cat has been nothing short of miraculous. No gunk in the eye, throwing up any more, her coat glistens,, she's like a born again kitten, plays, AND HER BREATH IS pleasant not to mention the change in her wellbeing. She is affectionate, contented and interested in life again, How good is it to hear her crunching organic chicken necks again. I have written articles for magazines here on this.

We all love our pets to bits. But, seriously no one fed their pets dry food and expensive grain based and recycled animal parts tinned food when I was a kid. Circa 1950's. And pets lived long er too. We certainly weren't taking our cats to the vets when I was a kid to have teeth removed or to treat chronic gingivitis.

and read about our puppy and how he not only thriving on raw but what he is actually having. Meaty bone, chicken wings, necks and carcasses, all organic and a little avo, apples, and other raw fruit and veg. but mainly raw meat and bones. He just shines. People gravitiate to his beautiful natured personality.

No wet patches under the eyes that the vet also said was 'normal'.

It's a long post, I know. check out the whole story at
