Ashamed to say that I haven't broken into the flax seed oil. Been too busy to figure out how I want to use it. I really want to find some raw goat milk to put it in because of what Passion's post said about making the cell more aerobic with the combination. I do love yogurt too. Right now, the salmon is working nicely because of our eating situation. (Everything is still packed in pods and re-doing kitchen) It is something that I make for everybody and they adore it. I put the salmon with tomato, avocado and Whole Food's fabulous live food dill sour cream on sandwiches for the gang to get them some more live foods and make a meal that everyone wants more than eating out. The bread really isn't necessary - but fits the concept of sandwich which they relate to so well and makes them feel like I'm feeding "normal" food. As soon as I try the flax seed I will let you know if it fills the same need.

How does one find out if a company does mercury testing or not? It's the only brand of wild caught cold processed salmon that I've ever seen and it's from the massive whole foods in Austin so I'm first a bit afraid of finding out it has mercury and then losing a meal for the family and them going back to cooked chickens and cows and I'm hoping that I can trust Whole Foods to make sure the salmon isn't toxic. Is that naive???

I'm hoping that if I can find raw goat milk that will also tranfer the dairy needs of the family. They now eat yogurt and soy cheese. I at least try to buy goat yogurt instead of cow - but it's still pasteurized. Raw goat would be much better for them. I like to substitue good things in a way so that they start begging me for it. Raw foods usually taste and feel better. My live-food cookies never stay around long. Man do I miss my vitamix and dehydrator.
