Hey GP, just one more little response - you are so right about people saying that the bible is the work of God and then not reading the bible. I found that I had read more of it than almost all of the Christians that I met. I just didn't get it. It was like they were working off the Cliff Notes or something.
And yes, we are much crueler to animals in our techno age than in the old small farm days. Too disturbing to even think about for long.
