Does anyone know of a good website that gives nutritional properties of raw foods? I'm 43 days raw today, and I've been having some big raw cravings. I'm actually finding that my tastes are moving more toward mono eating at each meal.
Last week it was watermelon. Couldn't get enough.
For about the last ten days, it's been cauliflower. I've eaten an entire head of it for one meal, more than once.
I also can't get enough scallions and red onion this week. My salads have gone from having a dozen different ingredients to romaine, scallion, red onion, cherry tomato, and a bit of dressing.
I thought I remembered something in one of Victoria Boutenko's books talking about why she craved scallions, but I can't find it in Raw Family or Green for Life. I guess it was in the 12 Steps book that I've only read from the library.
It would be nice to have a central resource that explains why we have strong cravings for healthy, raw foods. I'd much rather have these cravings than the old SAD ones though! I've totally lost my sweet junk desire since it now makes me physically sick if I eat just a little bit. As I get more in touch with my body, I'm developing a curiosity about its cycles it's going through in the raw cravings. Yay for raw!
